To run ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro on an Apple Macintosh computer, the Mac must be set up to run Windows. There are severals ways to do this, but they require one of two installation options.
Option One: Create a dual-boot setup on your Mac, which allows you to boot into either Mac OS or Windows OS. The typical method for this is to use the free software BootCamp.

- To view current OS version, Select the apple logo and About this Mac. 2.) Once the file is downloaded, double click file and then double click the. 3.) Proceed through the install with all default options. Once the installation completes, you can refer back to the Follow-Me-Printer Student Mac OS.
- In the Select a Destination window, choose Macinstosh HD and click Continue. When the Standard Install window opens, click Install. When the verification window opens, enter the administrator account user name and the associated password, then click OK. Please note that this will be the account.
- You should be running Mac OS X 10.13 or higher for proper operation of this installer. This installer should be run from an on-campus, wired network connection or the eduroam wifi network. It will not function from off-campus. This installer is compatible with 10.13 (High Sierra), 10.14 (Mojave) & 10.15 (Catalina) systems.
Option Two: Create a virtual machine on your Mac, which allows you to run an installation of Windows OS in parallel with your existing Mac OS, and to switch from one to the other without booting into either one separately. Typical choices for the virtualization option are the licensed software Parallels or VMware.
